Director Rajkumar Hirani’s Three Idiots is a story of three close buddies with two of them venturing out in search of the third one whom they had lost. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi embark on a journey to find out Rancho (Aamir Khan), the haatke kind of a guy who has been their inspiration behind thinking differently. The story revolves around this journey as the two friends recollect the bygone days on their way to get their friend back.
Penned by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijit Joshi, Three Idiots, is merging of past and present as the two friends travel through perilous destinations and also embark on an inner journey down memory lane. They recall their hostel days and their friend Rancho to who they are indebted. The plot centers on Rancho, a round character, who is remembered as a vibrant individual.
Both Madhavan and Sharman Joshi journeys back to their student life and their experience about their thinker friend, who had a major impact in shaping their lives. He was everything that a strict conformist is not and that is why the world considered him to be an idiot. His other two friends make three idiots. The other two idiots were left dumbfounded on one fine day when they discovered their loving friend has vanished. No one knew who he was and where did he come from.
The film will see Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani donning important roles with Kajol making a special appearance. This comedy is expected to be highly entertaining with a proper balancing of human insight teaching a lesson while making its viewers laugh. The director admits that Three Idiots is ahead of Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Aamir, who plays a man in his twenties asserted that he is playing someone less than half his age.
Will the reason of Rancho’s sudden departure remain a mystery? Will the two friends be able to find their lost friend? You have to wait till 25th December when the film hits the theatres.
