He is known for ‘Hulchul’ and ‘Hungama’ and now the famed director Priyadarshan is back again with another marathon comedy De Dana Dan starring Akshay Kuamr and Katrina as the leading characters. The comedy gets its elements form the two best friends Nitin (Akshay Kumar) and Ram (Suniel Shetty), who have been favoured by luck only in terms of love and nothing else.

The two friends find themselves in deep soup when their affluent girlfriends Anjali (Katrina Kaif) and Manpreet (Sameera Reddy) send them an ultimatum to earn enough money so that they can afford to elope and leave the world behind. If they fail to do that, the guys have to forget them forever. This ultimatum was enough for the two quasi-paupers to fan their desire to be rich.

The story throws a big challenge to these lovers who have to earn big and that too within a short span of time. Nitin tries his luck at various professions in Singapore but misfortune never deserts him. Ram ends up being a courier delivery man. When there is the need for quick money people resort to mischief and both Nitin and Ram strike a plan to take Moolchandji as their hostage – a rich brat. The story takes a mad turn as the two businessmen strive hard to get quick money and become eligible partners for their girlfriends.

Reprising the flavour of Hera Pheri, De Dana Dan is expected to be a comedy of errors and confusions. Supporting the comic plot are the actors like Asrani, Johnny Lever, Archana Puran Singh, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav.

Shot extensively in Mumbia and Singapore, De Dana Dan was completed within a span of two months. The movie has already caught the attention of media for its flood scene that was shot in a Goregaon studio.

When it comes to music, Pritam Chakraborty has contributed as the music director, who is expected to create magic this time with singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Javed Ali, and Sunidhi Chauhan rendering their voices. The film is set to hit the theatres on November 27.
