Randeep Hooda is back with another Bollywood venture and this time he is playing a bachelor (Vir Pratap Singh), who witness a series of encounters with beautiful women and it is through these encounters that his confined idea of love is expanded and he comes to know about other essential components of love. This fun loving boy hails from a small-town and works as a Sous-chef I a five star hotel in Mumbai. He is handsome and have the macho look, but he really needs to grow his maturity. and shed off his pre-conceived notions about love.

Director cum writer Srinivas Bhashyam has etched this comedy with the help of Manu Joseph, who has helped him in penning the story and screenplay. Love Khichdi aims at portraying the confusion and convenience of love and lust. The movie also delves into umpteen number of things men and women know about each other, but they restrain themselves from conveying the same. With an interactive narrative, all the characters of the movie talk directly to the audience about their notions on a regular basis.

He assigns a distinct flavour to every woman he gets to see and nurtures a hidden desire of having them without having to commit. If Divya Dutta’s character resembles that of tandoori masala, then Sada’s character is that of a simpleton, who is more like ghar ki dal. Sonali Kulkarni, the charlady at his house is given the title of bhareli mirchi, perhaps for her don't-care attitude. These women are followed by Riya Sen (baby corn), a school-girl in his neighbour.

Rituparna Sen Gupta (mishti dhoi) mesmerizes Vir with her intelligence and he goes mad for her every time he encounters this elusive beauty. Jesse Randhawa, whom he considers green salad, is a super model who loves his salads and often comes to eat in his restaurant. Last but not the least, Vir's also lusts for Kalpana Pandit, alias, sizzler, who is a successful businesswoman who lures him and uses him. The whole movie will be an odyssey for Randeep as he gains experience and learns to make a delicious love Khichdi.

Sandhya Iyengar is his constant friend, whom he takes for granted. Sandhya understands his dreams of owning his own restaurant. Vir is like any other man of his age whose thoughts and actions are centered around women and the whole movie explores the journey of Vir from his immaturity to manhood.

A band of established singers like, Alisha Chinoy, Shreya Ghosal, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Shaan and others have contributed to the scores of the movie. Pritam Chakraborty, the music director of Love Khichdi hopefully matches up his music with the genre of the movie. Support from the veteran actors like Saurabh Shukla, Mukesh Bhatt and others is expected to add zing to this comedy.
