Twitter reacts to Telangana issue

New Delhi: Ever since the news of Central government deciding to confer separate statehood to Telangana broke out, a mixed response started to emanate from the Twitter fraternity. When after almost two weeks of intense ups and downs and a series of discussions the final verdict surfaced, the Twitter was quick to manifest myriad reactions.

If some of them are worried that creating another state will add misery to taxpayer's plight, some ponder over other graver issues. Centre's decision came under scanner and questions were raised against Congress for "wilting under pressure on Telangana issue."

Describing the future status of Telangana, some of the Tweeples explained it as a "collection of handful of economically backward, largely resourceless districts." Disappointment was evident in the poignant tweets as one of the Twitterers felt that "the regional politics is taking the country."

Many wonder how many people in Andhra would support for separate Telangana and some just do not understand why "KCR hell bent on following the British mantra of 'Divide and Rule'. Amidst all this, some witty tweets also reflected the deep sarcasm as one of the Tweeples tweet, "I want my own state named Mhatreland. How many days should I go for hunger strike to get it?"

Still the main question that the entire Twitter community seems to ask "Will more politicians come forward to fast and die for Bundelkhand, Baghelkhand, Vidarbha, Gondwanaland, Bodoland?"
