| Millennium's longest annual solar eclipse brought the whole world together on Twitter as the enthusiasts on this social networking site expressed their unrestrained excitement about this rare celestial phenomenon. The eclipse news seems to have eclipsed all other events happening in nook and corner of the world as people continue to line up with their views on this interesting event.
As the news of eclipse taking place around the world started flooding internet, the tweeting gained momentum. Twitterers from across the world made their presence felt by tweeting their feelings about this rare event. If some rued the fact that they have missed the view by few minutes, some tweeted about the 'wonderful' feeling of seeing the sun getting 'engulfed'.
Like always, there was no dearth of interesting tweets and observations from the twitter fraternity. One of the Twitterers observed how "we r interested in Sun when it's eclipsed", and also went on to add "The Sun also must be thinking fools when I shine so brightly u hardly care & moment am hidden u dance."
The euphoria concerning the solar eclipse was evident from the tweets as one of the tweets say "Eclipse becomes 'solar festival' in Kerala". While some stated their disappointments for not being able to witness this historic incident, others remained hooked on to twitter to inform others about the places from where one can get the best view of this phenomenon. Some of them even uploaded the snaps on solar eclipse in Twitsnaps.com - a photo sharing application on Twitter.
When some of the users described the 'awesome spectacle', some even captured and shared the visual treat from Cape Sounio in Greece. There was discontentment also as some felt "solar eclipse looked terrible" from their places and blamed the cloudy weather for marring the effect. The astro tweets poured out their predictions and the impact of solar eclipse on the planets. One even seems to ride high on optimism as he tweets, "witnessed annular solar eclipse lasted for 7 minutes. Such a one will happen in Dec 23 3043. Lucky to live in then". |
