| New Delhi, Aug 22: Ever since Twitter enriched the social networking domain and made its presence felt, several photo-sharing applications on Twitter have been flooding the web with an aim to help the socially-active people in sharing their photos and spreading them over multiple networks.
TwitSnaps is a real-time photo sharing service quite like that of tweetphoto, Twitpic and yfrog, yet much different from them. Comparatively a new entrant in the segment, twitsnaps has covered much grounds by coming up with new feature and revamping its application at regular intervals.
Incubation of MapXL Inc, Twitsnaps is a thought leader when it comes to use its photo-sharing application at myriad levels. Unlike yfrog and most of the other photo-sharing service providers, Twitsnaps gives you the space to upload images up to 10MB. Most other services restrict their limit to around 5MB. TwitPic has a limit upto 4 MB.
TwitSnaps does actually offer unique features that other real-time photo sharing services are yet to have. It allows you to add a watermark on your photographs and get the magnified view of the photos by using the "Zoom" feature.
Twitpic, one of the early players who joined the photo-sharing domain in 2008, but it has not been able to catch up with Twitsnaps in terms of developing features. It does not offer image rating, watermark facility on embedded image and other privileges to the users.
Yfrog, like Twitpic, does not have a mobile application to cater to the larger user base. Accessing TwitSnaps from your mobile phone requires an easy process. You can view the snaps posted on twitsnaps on your snaptu mobile client. Taking a note of the security concern, it turned its m.twitsnaps version has been turned to OAuth. Blackberry and iPhone users have welcomed the new features posited in the application.
Twitsnaps has surged ahead with its video-sharing application that neither TweetPhoto nor Twitpic has included in the list of features. Yfrog is the only other media-sharing service that is known to offer video-sharing service.
More importantly, TwitSnaps has no dependency on advertisements. It has reflected its sustaining power by providing best service. It has clearly taken longer strides than its competitors. |
