Startup Saturday - an effort of Headstart to evolve together |

| Kolkata: They had a humble beginning. And now they have evolved as a one stop destination where entrepreneurs, young aspirants meet for a purpose - to nurture the innovative ideas in each of them. Following the ritual of holding one meet every second Saturday of the month, Kolkata witnessed yet another Startup Saturday on 12th Sept, 2009 at Globsyn Business School, Saltlake, Kolkata.
The event was graced by a small yet select assemblage of enthusiasts to experience this novel meeting. Manish Sonkar of Headstart Network commenced the event with an introduction of Headstart Network initiative.
Among the speakers were Dr. G. D. Gautama, Special Secretary IT, Govt. of West Bengal. Besdies sharing his details with the audience, Dr Gautama harped on the emergence of entrepreneurship in West Bengal and the difficult concepts in entrepreneurship. He was heard with rapt attention, owing to his easy approach of explaining difficult things and in an interesting manner.
His presentation was followed by a quiz held by Mr. Abhiskek Rungta of Indus Net.
Mr. Romit Dasgupta, Director, Globsyn took the charge of the interesting proceeding as embarked on the idea of developing a symbiotic business model among the entrepreneurs.
Mr. Arun Agarwal of ebizindia was also present on the occasion.
About Startup Saturday and HeadStart Network
It is a novel initiative by HeadStart Network to encourage entrepreneurs join a 'community-driven forum' where the entrepreneurs meet, discuss, present, disseminate and learn from a wide nexus of friends, partners, investors and customers.
HeadStart Network is the first of its kind in India which aims at promoting free flow of ideas among the entrepreneurs and help the mechanism of social interaction to prosper. Faster evolution is their forte. |
