New Delhi: The Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week closed with Manish Arora's 'Circus' collection, complete with clown pants, voluminous jackets and ruffled skirts. It was a magical evening as Manish interpreted the drama of a circus in his own signature style.

The Main Show Area had two stages - Animal statues were placed on one and a live music by Bollywood Brass Band from London was performing on the other. With models walking the ramp to the Hindi film tunes, the show was superbly choreographed. A 3D projection of a performing juggler and clown, dressed in Arora's costumes, was hovered through the show area creating an ethereal effect that mesmerized the audiences.

It took him three months to portray such a lively collection. "It's a three months of homework. I just wanted a good show and a good finale and it happened," Manish said after the show. Audiences loved his show as many buyers were seen applauding, cheering and dancing in between. "It's an amazing feeling. I am glad," he said.

Arora's collection included short dresses, mini skirts and trousers, as well as dresses inspired from circus costumes including bra tops, bat-wing sleeves, multiple bows and jumpsuits. Speaking on the theme of his collection Manish said, "I feel that Circus is a part of everybody's life. The way we live our life these days is like a circus - entertaining and hilarious. It may seem a common theme, but as always, it is closely associated with life."

The collection explored innovative techniques of embroidery like hand woven appliqué, digitally printed sequin as well as traditional Indian gota embroidery. Unique textures were achieved with the use of unusual leather sequins. Vibrant colours like bright pinks, shiny blues, attractive greens, silver and gold used in his collection left the audiences wanting for more. "Yes I've used a lot of colours in my collection. I love colours and this is my style," Manish quipped.

With a rich medley of colour, creativity, dramatic renditions of the world of circus and a stunning collection, Manish Arora's 'Circus' was a rarely witnessed grand finale at the fashion week.
