MAG organises Short Story Competition, invites writers |

New Delhi: Every man, someone said, has a story inside him. Many are able to get that story written, but for the rest of us, writing that story becomes a dream - an unfulfilled dream. In the process of leading our lives, our story gets buried so deep that the chances of it getting out are remote.
The MAG - an online magazine set up to encourage people to write - is now organising its 1st Annual Short Story Writing Competition, where the winners get a chance to get published, along with winning some other prizes, that include cash awards.
If you have ever felt that you could write a short story of about 1000-2000 words, and your short story would be liked by one and all, then now is the time to throw procrastination to the winds and get that story written and submit it to the contest.
The contest is being run on a separate website (magcontest.com) and will run from 10th January, 2010 to 31st May, 2010. The book will be published sometimes around July. The Submission Guidelines and Terms & Conditions of the contest can be found on the site.
All the stories received will be published online, and will be open for voting. Based on the response each story generates and their quality, 50 of them will be shortlisted and sent to a jury of five panelists, who will then select the final 20 stories for publication, and the best three stories that will win the cash prizes.
