New Delhi, June 25: The Asiad Tower restaurant and its peripheral area in the Asiad Village complex in the capital's Siri Fort area will continue to remained sealed as the vacation bench of the Supreme Court today declined to hear the matter, saying it could only be placed before the three-judge forest bench.

The vacation bench of Justice R.M. Lodha and Justice A.K. Patnaik said there was no tearing hurry to hear the matter. The court said that if the matter was grievously urgent, then they would have taken it up immediately.

The Asiad Tower's revolving restaurant and other party halls are owned by Jhankar Banquets. All these were ordered to be sealed by the apex court-appointed monitoring committee late last month for alleged unauthorised commercial use of the green belt around the tower. (IANS)
