New Delhi, July 1: The Supreme Court today rejected a petition by former Goa tourism minister Mickky Pacheco seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the death of his alleged lover, 28-year-old Nadia Torrado.

Nadia died at a Chennai hospital on May 30, 15 days after she allegedly consumed rat poison.

The vacation bench of the apex court headed by Justice R.M. Lodha and comprising Justice A.K. Patnaik said that nothing could be done unless the custodial interrogation of Pacheco was over.

However, the court granted interim bail to Pacheco's aide Lyndon Monteiro. (IANS)
