New Delhi, July 26: The Supreme Court today admitted a petition challenging the acquittal of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Shibu Soren and four others in the abduction and murder of Soren's secretary Shashinath Jha in 1994.

At the time of Jha's murder on May 22, 1994, he was working as personal assistant to Soren. Delhi High Court acquitted Soren in the case in 2008.

The apex court bench of Justice Altamas Kabir and Justice A.K. Patnaik admitted the petition soon after it was called. (IANS)
