| Islamabad, April 16: The United Nations released a report today which states that ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence), the chief intelligence network of Pakistan continues to maintain close associations with LeT (Lashkar-e-Toiba) and seeking their assistance to run terrorist operations in India.
The report pointed out that in 1996, Pakistan planned and assisted Taliban militants to acquire Afghanistan. They implemented similar strategies while continuing anti-India operations in demand of Kashmir after 1989.
Pakistani military appoints terrorsts to formulate their tactical terror missions against India. To run these operations, they seek help from LeT, says the report. At present, Al-Qaida organizations and Jihadi groups are operating in different areas of Pakistan; especially in Pak occupied Kashmir and Punjab. |
