Australia invites Indian journalists for rebuilding its reputation

Melbourne: In view of the recent assaults on Indians in Australia, questions are now being raised regarding the safety of dwelling in the Australian city of Melbourne, where most of the racial attacks have been traced.

Today, Tony Abbott, the leader of the Opposition party directed the state government to fund the arrival of 25 Indian reporters to Australia, so that it helps in rebuilding the reputation of the country that has been hampered due to the occurrence of the recent incidents.

A leading national newspaper in Australia also confirmed that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade would spend 250,000 Australian Dollars for expenditure on flights and accommodation for the Indian journalists.

They will arrive in the nation to review the current situation and for report about the safety of Indians in Australia. This will perhaps help in the promotion of the nation in front of Indians and other nationals who are planning to visit Australia for study, travel or for other reasons.
