| Islamabad: Even after receiving three dossiers on 26/11 terror attack from India, Pakistan remains fixed in its decision of not arresting Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafeez Saeed. The dossiers sent by India project Hafeez Saeed as the 26/11 mastermind. Pakistani authorities are refusing to arrest Saeed claiming that the dossiers do not contain "actionable intelligence".
According to a media report, the Pakistani authorities have studied the dossiers provided by India during the Foreign Secretary-level talks on February 25. They have, however, come to a conclusion not to take any action against Hafeez Saeed. The authorities have decided to send a response to India in few days time.
Pakistan has also refused to hand over Saeed to India.
On Tuesday, Home Minister P. Chidambaram expressed dissatisfaction at the fact that Pakistan government is not doing anything to stop Saeed from making sinister speeches. He further urged Pakistan to probe his role behind the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. |
