New Delhi: Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram said today that LeT operative Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi is not the only person responsible for 26/11. He said that there are other people who have played important roles in planning the Mumbai massacre. While speaking to the media at the capital, he said that both India and Pakistan were aware of the other individuals who were associated with the tragic incidents that claimed 166 lives. He said that if the others were not brought to justice then he might have to conclude that Pakistan was not approaching the entire affair in the best way possible.
Pakistani investigators have confessed in their reports that the proof against the accused in the 26/11 case was enough to sentence them. However, much to Indias consternation no case has yet been registered against Hafiz Saeed who heads the Jamaat-ud-Dawa. (IANS) |
