First ever Indian business delegation for Yemen |

| New Delhi, May 25: Indian and Yemeni businesses will discuss potential partnerships in energy, infrastructure and IT when a first-ever business delegation visits the Arab country from May 28-30.
Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Indian delegation will have senior executives from Larsen and Turbo Ltd, Escorts Ltd, Psychotropics India Ltd, Nadeem Leatherware Exports and Wapcos Ltd.
"There is enormous potential for cooperation in areas of refining, power plants, oil and gas exploration, infrastructure, IT, food processing, organic chemicals, agricultural products, meat, poultry and dairy" a CII statement said.
CII will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Federation of Yemen Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FYCCI).
India's total trade with Yemen crossed $1.5 billion in 2008-09 from $277.23 million in 2004-05. (IANS) |
