| New Delhi:: India is now ready to combat the deadly swine flu disease as from next week the H1N1 vaccine will be made available here. Government imported 1.5 million H1N1 from Sanofi Pasteur and they will soon reach India.
All these vaccines have passed the required tests and have proved to be resistant to swine flu. However, the Drug Controller General of India has decided to review the test results before giving clearance to use it on human beings in the nation.
As per the Union health ministry officials, ten lakh H1N1 vaccine shots will be dispatched to the central government hospitals. Initially the shots will be given to those victims who have been tested positive for swine flu. The armed forced will also receive these vaccines and few of these will be kept by the ministry.
