Seventh swine flu death in Gujarat |

| Rajkot: A 52-year-old man died of influenza A(H1N1) in this Gujarat city on Monday, becoming the seventh victim of swine flu in the state, officials said.
Rajesh Ughad died on Monday morning at a private hospital here. He was admitted to the hospital early last week and diagnosed positive for swine flu.
This is also the first swine flu death reported in the state's Saurashtra region, district administration officials said.
Hasmukh Hingu, 48, from Bharuch town in central Gujarat, died on Sunday at the government SSG Hospital in Vadodara city. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday with a respiratory distress syndrome and was put on the ventilator.
Of the total 82 positive cases of swine flu in Gujarat, eight new cases were recorded on Sunday.(IANS) |
