One more swine flu case in Orissa, tally three

Bhubaneswar: One more case of swine flu was reported in Orissa today taking the number of influenza A (H1N1) patients in the state to three, state Health Minister Prasanna Acharya said.

"We received results of two cases today (Wednesday) from the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases at Kolkata and of them one was positive," Acharya told reporters.

The sample was of a patient at the Sriram Chandra Bhanja Medical College Hospital in Cuttack.

"The patient is undergoing treatment in the same hospital. We have taken all measures to check the spread of virus," he said.

Two others have been tested positive in the state at Sriram Chandra Bhanja Medical College Hospital on Aug 13 and one at the Ispat General Hospital in Rourkela on Aug 14, he said. (IANS)
