Himachal to lease out land in favour of Rural Development Department

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Cabinet in its meeting held here today approved leasing out of land in favour of Rural Development Department for 33 years on an annual token lease payment of Re. 1.00 for setting up of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI) in Kangra, Solan and Hamirpur districts of the State.

Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, presided over the meeting.

It also approved leasing out of Government land, measuring 96.02 bighas, in Mauja Kahlog, in tehsil Kandaghat, district Solan in favour of Patanjli Yogpeeth Trust, Haridwar, Uttrakhand, for development of Herbal Research Centre, cultivation of various medicinal herbs as also to give boost to Health Tourism in the State, for 99 years.

The Cabinet granted permission to convert 22 posts of Beldar (Pump Operator and Helper) into Pump Operator Helper in the Department of Irrigation and Public Health

It granted permission to fill up 4 posts of Youth Coordinators in the Department of Youth Services and Sports on contract basis; 2 posts of Statutory Officers in Chaudhary Sarvan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur.

It agreed to revive the post of Deputy Director (Statistics) (Class-I Gazetted) in the Department of Animal Husbandry.
