| New Delhi: India's railway budget for the next fiscal is scheduled to be presented at noon in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of parliament, today amid expectations that while passengers will be spared a fare hike, freight rates may be rationalised.
Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will present what will be the fourth budget of her career as railway minister and the second for the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. (IANS) |
