New Delhi, April 13: The Central Government is considering to deploy an additional troop of 6,000 CRPF men deal with the Naxalites in Chhatisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar and other Maoist-hit states. However, the Centre will allow the state police to lead the anti-Maoist operations.

The recent attack on 76 security force personnel in the Dantewada district of Chhatisgarh has cast a terrible blow to the entire nation, causing the government to re-think on its strategies to tackle the extremists.

Home ministry is now asking the states to allow the state police force and CRPF personnel to work together to crush the Maoist reign once and for all. However, efforts are now being taken to deploy trained commandos in the Maoist-hit regions of the states. (IANS)
