Kolkata, July 13: Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today expressed dismay over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari's controversial comment terming parliament attack convict Afzal Guru as the "son-in-law" of the Congress. "I feel dismayed. Gadkariji either does not understand or he is not trying to understand. There is no question of any Congress relationship in this...the law cannot be broken for anyone. "Law cannot be broken for any murderer. He cannot be shot. He has to undergo trial.

Pranabda (Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee) has already said it is inappropriate language. If he doesn't understand it then God help him!" Khurshid told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar on financial literacy by FICCI here.

Gadkari on July 4 said Afzal Guru was like a "son-in-law" to the Congress as he condemned the ruling party over the delay in his execution.

Afzal Guru was convicted for December 2001 attack on parliament and sentenced to death. His mercy petition is pending with the president. (IANS)
