Scheme to upgrade Doordarshan network approved |

| New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure today approved a proposal of the information and broadcasting ministry for updgrading the network of the state broadcaster, Doordarshan.
"The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure today gave its approval to the proposal of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding 11th Plan Scheme of Doordarshan - 'Digitalization of Transmitters and Studios in Doordarshan Network'," said a government press release.
The plan includes installation of 40 digital terrestrial transmitters, networking them through satellites and full digitalisation of 39 studio centres. (IANS) |
