New Delhi: Nepal assured the security of Indian aircraft in its territory and extended cooperation to combat terrorism and exchange intelligence information during a two-day dialogue that concluded today. The talks were held between Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and his Nepalese counterpart Gobinda Prasad Kusum.
'The Indian side raised the issue of security of Indian aircraft. The Nepal side conveyed its solidarity with India in the fight against terrorist and insurgent groups,' a home ministry statement said.
'The discussions on security related issues centred around effective cooperation in combating terrorist activities, circulation of fake currency notes, and institutionalising the mechanism for realtime exchange of security related information between the two countries,' the statement added.
