American artist looks at funny side of life in India

New Delhi: H.R. Britton, an American artist has narrated the experience of his tenure in India. He has expressed his memories of India in a monologue that lasts for an hour. India has always been prioritised by travelers from west and Britton is not an exception too.

The piece has been named "From Madison to Madurai: 134 Days in Mother India". It captures the experiences of the narrator who presents it as an American student who is just out of his college and is visiting India looking for some spirituality.

Britton, aged 38, has said that he had indeed visited India looking for spirituality besides taking lessons in singing and yoga. He was also keen on Buddhism and wished to reach the source from where the ideas originated. At present he is a teacher of English at the Boston University.

The comedian said that he arrived at his friend’s place at Madurai before kicking off his Indian sojourn that lasted for four and a half months. During this time he visited the length and breadth of the country.
