Panaji: The film titled "Yeh Hai Malegaon ka Superman" takes a comic view on the events of the Malegaon blasts. The film has been a huge hit with the audiences at the 2009 International Film Festival of India.

The film has been made on a small budget of around INR 1 lakh by Shaikh Nasir. It has been shot at various locations at Malegaon. The plot is about a thin boy with Superman like abilities - one who is always ready to help the needy.

A documentary has been shot on the making of this movie. It is also being shown at the festival and has attracted a lot of crowds. Among the major aspects of this particular documentary are the humor and the elements that are typical of films that are shot on low budgets.

Incidentally there were a couple of casualties of the Malegaon blasts that happened in 2008. The organizers have lauded the work saying that the delegates at the film festival have taken a liking to it. They have also opined that by virtue of being comic in nature it has stood out among the serious films that are being showcased over here.
