New Delhi: If you thought that the mobile numbers mentioned by the actors and actresses in the film are all fictitious, think twice. Recent incidents of obscene calls being made at the mentioned numbers on screen have reached a traumatic height. The latest incident speaks of the sad plight of a Mumbai woman, whose mobile number unfortunately matches with the number that Neha Dhupia was supposedly had in the film Raat Gayi Baat Gayi.

Rupa Asher, a married woman who stays in Andheri, is having a tough time attending endless calls and text messages without having a tincture of an idea. The secret was unraveled when Rupa and her husband discovered that her number was being flashed in the movie Raat Gayi Baat Gayi directed by Saurabh Shukla.

Although Asher approached the producers, Pritish Nandy Communications, the officials gave her two options either to change her personal number or to wait for sometime till the film stopped screening in movie halls. Rajat Kapoor, the lead actor of the film made a sincere apology for such unwanted incident but director Saurabh Shukla was not aware about the case for a long time. The lead actor also admitted that filmmakers miss out on small details like this, which cause bigger problems for the common people.

It seems the time has come for the Bollywood filmmakers to turn more careful while flashing mobile numbers on screen. The above case is not a secluded one as the same thing happened few days after the release of Aaamir Khan Starrer 'Ghajini'. Dr Surekha Verma, a resident of Kanjurmarg, became the victim of endless calls and text messages that time. And what was the reason? Her number was tattooed on Aamir Khan's body in the film.

Another similar incident happened few years back post-release of Taxi No. 9211, a John Abraham and Nana Patekar starrer. There was this scene where Sonali Kulkarni gives out a mobile number to John and that out that the number was the same that of Nessy John's personal mobile number. She was then a student of class 11 residing in Mumbai. Blank calls and successive SMSes made it difficult for her.

These incidents are more than enough for the directors to use non-existing numbers on screen so that such nuisances do not occur in future.
