New Delhi: The Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, turned 43 today. And on this special occasion Shahrukh gave a special gifts to his fan by releasing the first promo of his forthcoming film 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. Shahrukh also threw a grand birthday party at his house, 'Mannat' on Saturday where many prominent personalities, including Hrithik Roshan, Sushmita Sen, Bipasha Basu and John Abraham were present. But all eyes were looking for Salman Khan who was not invited by King Khan on this special occasion.
Shahrukh, popularly known as King Khan, made his debut in film industry after featuring in many TV serials including the famous 'Circus' and 'Fauji'. Shahrukh first film Deewana, released in 1992 was a blockbuster but he reached the stardom after the super success of 'Baazigar' that established him as an actor in the industry.
After Baazigar, there was no looking back for this actor as he went on giving consecutive hits like 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', Dil To Pagal Hai, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Swadesh' and many more. For all these movies Shahrukh won the filmfare awards for best actor. Known for his romantic roles, Shahrukh proved his mettle in negative performance with movies like 'Darr', 'Anjaam' and 'Ram Jaane'. It was for Rahul Rawail's Anjaam in 1994 that Shahrukh won the filmfare award for best actor in a negative role. However, after that the actor did not performed villainous role in any movie.
After the huge success as an actor, Shahrukh tried his hands in production and started a production house named Dreams Unlimited in a partnership with co-actress Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza. But the company came to an end as both of its movies 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' and 'One Two ka Four' fused at box-office. However, his second production company 'Red Chili entertainment' did a great business with the success of 'Mai Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om'. |
