A R Rahman nominated for two Grammy Awards

| New Delhi: After an endless series of success, the music maestro A.R. Rahman is once again on the hunt. This time the Academy award winner has got two Grammy nominations for Slumdog Millionaire.
Rahman has been nominated in two important categories namely Best Song Written and Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
It was only this year that Rahman had won two Oscars for his music in the award winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.
The nominations for the Grammys were unveiled as part of a prime-time CBS special. For the second time in a row the Recording Academy revealed some of its 109 nominees during a televised concert. Previously such nominees used to be announced during a morning news conference.
The grand function is slated to be held on Jan 31. |
