New Delhi: The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the counting of votes on May 16 and all proceedings will be videographed, Chief Election Commissioner Naveen Chawla said here today.
An approximate 60,000 counting staff will carry out the counting exercise in 4,260 counting halls in 1,080 counting centres in the country, Chawla said at a press conference.
"There will be one micro observer at one counting table," he said.
The chief election commissioner said the tabulated data will be verified by the observers.
Proceedings of the counting will be videographed and the result sheet will be sent to the data centre and media centre, Chawla said.
He said that authentic trends and results will be available on the Election Commission's special website.(IANS) |
