| Bangalore/Ahmedabad: Indian Institutes of Management have got tremendous response from the corporate sector for summer placements.
Last year, with the downfall of Lehman Brothers and recession, the placement process was stagnant. But this year it's an altogether different story.
More than 150 students of batch 2009-11 from IIM, Ahmedabad had got their placement by the end of second day. IIM-Bangalore is also optimistic about their summer placements which are expected to start from November 6. The challenge for IIM-Calcutta is to get all the 408 students placed. Their summer placement begins today.
Due to the economic crisis, the IIMs concentrated on tech service firms to open up job opportunities last year. The good news is that most of the regular IT and IT consulting firms have again made come back this year. |
