Bhopal: An MBA aspirant in Madhya Pradesh has filed a police complaint alleging that irregularities were being made in online counselling, with the help of internet cafe operators, to benefit certain management colleges.

The complainant, Aanya Agnihotri, who hails from Sagar, has accused the owner of an internet cafe, from where he completed the counselling formalities, of forging his form and preference for college.

The complainant told police that while completing the counselling formalities for Management Entrance Test (MET) through the MP Online Portal, the cafe owner pressurized him to prefer for a particular college.

"I did not succumb to his pressure and opted for the college of my choice. But I am shocked that despite my preference for IMS, Indore, I have been allotted NRI College by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board," Aanya said.

"It is the same college for which the cafe owner was insisting," he said.

"It appears that a network of cafe owners with the help of MP Online portal is trying to benefit certain colleges," he said. (IANS)
