New Delhi, June 2: Situations are no longer the same for law colleges present throughout India. The Bar Council of India has left two options for 930 of these colleges and i.e. they either have to agree to the existing educational standards formulated by BCI or they will have to stop student admission process in their colleges after 2011.

Gopal Subramaniam, the chairperson and the Solicitor General of BCI has drafted the notification to revive the standards of law education which he feels has been degraded by different law colleges.

BCI has ordered the colleges to refurbish the faculty recruitment system by offering salaries to the professors and lecturers as per the UGC certified pay scale. It has also asked the colleges to rework on the course curriculum to facilitate delivery of quality education.
