Bhopal: Two children died and four others were taken seriously ill after eating the mid-day meal served at a government school in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district after the Republic Day function was over, officials said.
The incident occurred at a government school in Jamunpani village, about 300 km from here. There were about 150 children in the school.
"As many as six children fell ill after eating food and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where two of them died while the condition of the remaining four is still critical," said Dhar District Collector Rajkumar Pathak.
Police have registered a case and are looking into the matter. (IANS)
