Kolkata: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Kolkata Jan 21 to inaugurate the 150 year celebrations of St Xaviers', the institute's authorities on Thursday said.
"Singh will come to Kolkata Jan 21 to inaugurate the 150th anniversary celebrations of St Xaviers' institute, that include both the school and college. He will speak to the students and return to New Delhi the same day," principal of St Xavier's College Father P.C. Matthew told reporters here.
The institute has planned a series of events to mark its 150-year celebration that includes inauguration of a 16-cubicle state-of-art library, cultural programmes and a proposed Rs.3 billion research centre. (IANS)
