Control your home appliances through SMS

| Aligarh: Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology has developed an inexpensive gadget for controlling the electrical home appliances with the aid of SMS (short message service) through mobile phones.
A college spokesperson said that this device will enable users to control all the electrical appliances present in their homes from any part of the globe.
Present technologies and systems for home automation need Bluetooth, internet and Wi-Fi networks that are moderately expensive. But this device will be available at a very economical price.
Kamal Gupta and Abdullah Azhar, two final year students pursuing B.Tech in Electronics from this university, jointly developed the gadget, which won second award at the international fair of 'Electrical and Industrial Electronics' held recently in Mumbai. |
