| Jaipur, June 30: They may apparently seem like average engineering students but inside they are a collection of determination and idea. Inspired by Aamir Khan's much appreciated film, '3 Idiots' a group of mechanical engineering students from Jaipur have designed a wonder bike which will drastically cut the running costs.
The bike runs on compressed air.
The invention seems to come at the right time when the whole country is reeling under the effect of towering fuel prices.
This wonder fruit is a result of ceaseless toil for almost 6 months as these students devoted 10 hours on the bike on a daily basis.
While talking about the invention and their initiative, Pramod Jain of Gyan Vihar University Jaipur stated that Aamir Khan's film inspired the five students to do something new and innovative in their life.
This novel venture is more welfare-oriented as the students wanted to contribute to the society and help in wiping out people's misery. The bike has been named 'All is Well', a popular catch line in the film.
The five friends took a 4-stroke engine used for bikes and modified it into a 2-stroke engine. With the supply of compressed air, the bike starts off with a single kick. Although the bike cannot be a preferred alternative for those who love speed yet it is touted to be a vehicle having multiple advantages. |
