Cough syrups in huge quantity are now being smuggled to Bangladesh by the drug peddlers in Tripura. The addicts generally look for the cough syrups having narcotic properties.
According to the reports, the drug stores in Tripura are flooded with cough syrup and one can easily get a bottle of it from the stores in Agartala without having to show prescriptions. Moreover, several brands of the medicine are available even at the PCOs and stationary shops.
A bottle of cough syrup, which costs Rs 70 in India, is smuggled and sold it in Bangladesh at Rs 300. |
