Russian rape case convict's photo released by Goa police

| Panaji: The photograph of the person convicted in raping a Russian girl of 9 yrs of age, has been released by the Goa police today. The photograph has been also sent to each police station, airports, railway stations and the state border offices so that the accused can be traced easily.
Bosco George, the Superintendent of Goa Police (North) refused to make any additional comments over the issue. However, he said that the police are undertaking every possible step to track the accused and bring him to justice.
The convict has been accused of raping a Russian girl on January 26 at Arambol beach, which is around 35 kms from Panaji. The girl's mother lodged a complaint with the Pernem police on that day only. She also gave a description of the accused to the police that helped them to release the photo. |
