Cop rapes woman in Lucknow, suspended |

| Lucknow, June 9: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a police constable, police said on Wednesday.
Yadav, 25, allegedly raped the woman on Tuesday evening. The woman had arrived in Lucknow a few days ago from Pratapgarh to take an examination.
"On the pretext of dropping the woman to a bus station, Yadav took her to his friend's house and committed the crime," Inspector Sarang Dhar Dwivedi said.
"A criminal case against the constable was registered on Wednesday," he added. (IANS) |
