American woman in Hyderabad alleges rape |

| Hyderabad, July 7: An American woman has complained that she was raped by an unidentified man at her residence in the Banjara Hills neighbourhood here, police said today.
The 30-year-old woman complained that an unidentified person barged into her house late on Tuesday night and raped her after threatening her with a knife, police said.
Police said the woman, living alone in a penthouse, also said that the accused escaped with Rs.5 lakh.
The woman, working for the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation and living here for the past one-and-half years, has been sent to a hospital for medical examination, police said.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner A.K. Khan also visited the woman's house.
A hunt has been launched for the accused based on the description given by the victim. (IANS) |
