Verdict a victory for India: Moily

New Delhi, May 3: Union Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily today described the conviction of Pakistani national Ajmal Amir Kasab in the 26/11 terror attack case as a "victory for the country".

"The tragic dastardly incident of 26/11 has really disturbed the psyche of the entire nation. The manner in which the trial was held, the manner in which witnesses have been examined, it is one of the outstanding cases," Moily said.

"As far as this is case (is concerned)... this is a victory for justice, this is a victory for the country," the minister told reporters.

Kasab was found guilty on 86 counts, including murder and waging war against the country, by a special court in Mumbai in the 26/11 carnage that left 166 people dead and many more injured. (IANS)
