Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday rejected former chief minister and Lok Sabha member Madhu Koda's plea to remove his name from the list of respondents in a petition alleging corruption.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra and Justice D.K. Sinha fixed July 23 as the next date of hearing of a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into assets of Koda and six former ministers.

Durga Oraon had filed the PIL seeking a probe into the assets of Koda, Harinarayan Rai, Enos Ekka, Kamlesh Singh, Dulal Bhuiya, Bandu Tirkey and Bhanu Pratap Sahi.

Koda and four former ministers have submitted details of their properties in the court. (IANS)
