Mumbai jail offers a luxurious life for Mafia bosses

| Mumbai, July 29: Life is lavish for them whether they are behind bars or outside jail. The Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai can be regarded as a deluxe hotel for the mafia bosses and dons. Media investigations revealed that dons and dreaded gangsters who have been accused of atrocious charges are being offered all kinds of comfort and luxurious facilities in the city's highly-protected jail.
Mafia gurus Abu Salem and Mustafa Dossa who were earlier shifted to this jail were found to lead a very posh life. Maharashtra Home Minister Ramesh Bagwe claimed that their jail bathrooms were much neat, fitted with tiles and resembled to that of luxury hotels.
A don can order a pack of smokes, food and even liquor from inside jail. In return he will have to pay 5-6 times the market price for these items. Needless to state that these products are smuggled from outside. It is still unknown who is controlling the entire operation. |
