Indian youths lured of jobs, send to Malaysia as bonded labourers

Vellore Two fake overseas employment agents have deceived 14 youths from different villages of the district and have send them to Malaysia to work as bonded labourers.

One of these agents is a resident of Karunakaran of the district of Palla, has been taken into custody by the police. They are now searching for the other agent.

The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged with the Amballur police station by a resident of Pachur village.

N Arulselvan, the District Superintendent of Police informed the media that each of the youths paid a sum of nearly Rs. 1 lakh to the fraud agents, in return of a decent job abroad with a handsome salary. But the fraudsters duped the young fellows and sold them as bonded labourers to Malaysian employers.
