11 killed as truck, jeep collide in Haryana |

| Karnal (Haryana), June 16: Eleven people were killed when a jeep packed with people collided with a truck in a Haryana village, police said today.
Seven women and four men travelling in a Mahindra jeep were killed near Pacca Khera village in Karnal district around 12.15 a.m.
"About 23 people were travelling in the jeep. Eleven were killed and eight were injured," said a police official.
One of the injured is in a serious condition and referred to a hospital in the state capital Chandigarh, about 125 km away.
The family members of the deceased have been informed and bodies would be handed over to them after a post-mortem examination, the official said. (IANS) |
