About sedan vehicles

There are different editions of sedan such as two-door, four-door, and fastback. Sedan cars can seat 4 or more passengers in its two lines of seats. Comprising of two or on certain occasions, four doors, a sedan features a separate luggage compartment in its backside. This implies that there are separate compartments for engine, passenger, and luggage. There is sufficient space in the backside compartment for accommodating adult passengers. Normally, the cargo compartment is on the back, except for some models with engine in the rear such as Tatra T613, Renault Dauphine, Chevrolet Corvair, and Volkswagen Type 3. It is one of the most familiar car bodywork patterns.

There is a permanent roof for a sedan, the height of which is equal to the rear window. The configuration of the roof will usually have a permanent B-column on sedan models. A sedan model most typically has four doors. Two-door versions are limited, but they are made (more conventionally). In the United States, the expression sedan is utilized to refer to a vehicle with permanent window frames, rather than the hardtop pattern with no B column and where the girdle (if any) unwinds with the glass. Nevertheless, genuine hardtops have gradually become more limited.

The four-door sedans can come with either two or three side windows - one in every door and the probable third is incorporated in the C column. Vent windows are not taken into consideration.
