What is the process of making a claim?

In order to claim for damage/loss to a private vehicle (car/two wheeler) as a result of an accident, you have to furnish the following documents:

  • Name, Address, Telephone/Fax number of Spot Surveyor who inspected the spot
  • Copy of claim form submitted to company along with photocopy of premium receipt and insurance policy
  • Original Driving License (DL) along with photocopy
  • Properly filled out claim form
  • Ballpark figure of maintenance from repairer and printed acknowledgement
  • Original Registration Certificate of Car (RC) along with photocopy
  • First Information Report/Police Panchanama
  • Invoices and cash memo of maintenance and printed acknowledgement
  • Proof of Road Tax
